Runners from all over the world start amongst the vineyards at Cuvaison Carneros Estate Winery in Napa on their way to the grand finish at City Hall in Sonoma Plaza. The course runs through the scenic Carneros wine region from Napa to Sonoma in this world-class destination event. Spectators line the final stretch down Broadway cheering on race participants who then join teammates, friends and family in the plaza for the celebratory Wine & Music Festival featuring the awards ceremony, live music and wine tasting from some of the regions finest vintners.
Description: This scenic USATF certified course starts at Cuvaison Carneros winery in Napa and runs to Sonoma through the Carneros wine appellation past thousands of acres of vineyards, ranches, and the Napa/Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Preserve. The course finishes in front of City Hall in historic Sonoma Plaza for the popular Wine & Music Festival. Cash, wine and other prizes valued at over $15,000 are awarded to top finishers and each participant receives a technical running shirt, colorful finishers medal and logo wine glass for the post-race Wine & Music Festival. This three-day event features wine-themed activities and was recently featured in People Magazine, Access Hollywood and Runners World Magazine. The event sells out very quickly is limited to 3,000 entrants.
